From silk gowns to sparkly cocktail dresses, picking something out for prom is a particularly fun rite of passage in high school. But for some, paying for those dresses can be tough.

Enter the Cinderella Project, which since its founding in Baton Rouge in 2008 has provided more than 4,000 young women with the duds for their big day. The Project also hosts its annual Leadership Academy, a college preparatory workshop.

This year, the organization is partnering up with Jess' Bra Closet and No Glass Slippers to go two steps further: Each student will be able to go home with a white cocktail dresses under $100, appropriate undergarments and shoes for their prom.

The Cinderella Project and the other two organizations will set up shop inside the A.C. Lewis YMCA from noon until 5 p.m. on Sunday (March 15).
